Well it has been over a month and now I have a bit of new news.There is not too much going on yet but in a couple of months expect a all out console war between Microsoft and Nintendo. Anyway on with the bit of news I have obtained.
I knew it would happen but I thought Nintendo would be the culprit. Instead it seems the estimated 600,000-800,000 units available for launch aint gonna happen. Instead expect a low number of around 300,000 units. In fact the shortage is so bad that Microsoft has asked retailers to stop the preorders. That is a bad start for MS but they should be able to overcome it very easy as soon as they have their new production place ready. It is estimated that 150,000 units could be cranked out in a week.
Reported by the video game news guru of magazines, the Hollywood Reporter, It seems that Sega is gonna make a new House of Dead 3 game for the X BOX. I can't say if this is true since it sounds like it is from a stinkin tabloid, but then again if you are readin my news I guess it is safe afterall.
As Tony Hawk 3 development continues we learn that Activision has struck a deal with Maverick Records to produce a audio CD alongside with the game. Also included with the audio CD is a enhanced CD ROM with galleries and bail clips, as well as previews of the game. Nifty idea. Wish it came with the game but then again the previews would be useless.
Due to recent turmoil, Syphon Filter 3 will not release on it's original Sept. 25th date. No new date has yet been announced.
Finally after waiting FOREVER!!!!!!! Dragon Warrior 7 is headed stateside Nov. 1st for the PS. The game is the top selling PS game in japan and the third best selling game in history.
Well thats all I could dig up for right now. I wish I had more stuff but I don't. So untill things heat up in retail I'm out.....cisco
